Rather than using a reducer sleeve or hitchadapter to increase the shank size of your 2″ mount, this pintle mountfeatures a solid steel 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ shank. It can accept anymounted CURT pintle hook or ball and pintle combination, and with its 7-1/4″height, it offers up to three height adjustment positions (NOTE: Not for use inrise position; never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component;i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). Not only does the 2-1/2″ x2-1/2″ pintle mount accommodate a variety of trailers with differentcoupler heights, but it also allows for use with the heaviest of loads. Itssolid shank gives it the strength to accept a gross trailer weight up to 20,000lbs.
